Cold Chillin' Records was formed by Len Fichtelberg and Tyrone Williams in January 1987, an off-shoot of Prism Records. Cold Chillin' is responsible for the best and brightest in rap artists, including Roxanne Shante, Biz Markie, M.C. Shan, D.J. Polo & Kool G. Rap, Big Daddy Kane, and T.J. Swan. Producer Marley Marl is a close collaborator of the Cold Chillin' label.
